How we started our journey with Shopify

We weren’t always Shopify experts, until we had to become one!

It all started while setting up our own store, struggling to find someone who could understand our vision for the brand and help us translate it into an impressive storefront.

Every time we began working with someone, the Friction between our goals and vision for the brand, and their understanding of the store set up, resulted in not just a website that did not represent our message, but one that also lacked the functionalities needed to turn visitors into customers. Let alone even creating a lasting impression on these visitors!

High bounce rates, Low conversion rates, and a storefront we were not happy with.

That’s all when it all began. We began learning the ropes of branding and aligning design with it for ourselves and soon realized that we aren’t the only ones going through the struggle.

In December 2020, we finally took the call of taking everything we learned while setting up an online store to other DTC brands. We wanted to make the experience of taking your brand online ‘Frictionless’ so that businesses don’t have to spend weeks and months doing what we had to.

From brand strategy, design, and custom implementation while setting up an online store, we took matters into our hands and worked closely with DTC brands over the next few months.

It started as a learning curve and resulted in what you know today as the Friction Studio today!
